Solidification of flexible packaging adhesives

Once the lamination of layer and layer is finished, Can these laminated roll film to be directly ready for next step -slitting process of flexible packaging? Sure not, the flexible packaging adhesives need to be fully solidified after lamination process.


1-Hot drying and solidification

Roll film need to quickly put into the hot drying room for a “hot drying” of 48 hours, in order to let the flexible packaging adhesives between each layer could get an fully solidifying.

2-Natural cooling

After a” hot drying”, they should be placed in a vacant area for a natural cooling for 36 hours, in order to make the roll film return back to normal temperature state and ready for next step – slitting.


It is worth mentioning that, this process is easily shorten or neglected after the lamination, for example, in order to shorten the delivery time of batch production, someflexible packaging supplierwill shorten the time of "hot drying" and "nature cooling” intentionally or directly passed this process. However, it is not advisable, as an enough solidification of flexible packaging adhesives is the precondition of good lamination effect.
